snowpocalypse 2011

Today is our third snow day here in Atlanta. As I’ve written this blog, they have called school for tomorrow too. Crazy!

I am bummed that we missed the last three days of our Jan-term class. I was really enjoying the visiting professor from Germany, Martin Tamcke, and would have liked a bit more closure on the topic. We’d been discussing the challenge of Turkish Muslim immigration in Germany to interfaith/intercultural dialogue. I still have to write a paper, so if I glean anything profound in the process, I’ll be sure to share on the blog.

Ok… it’s Tuesday. But I had the pictures on my camera and ready to go yesterday and got caught up with a little project at the house. This post is a little different than the other recipe posts. Instead of sharing a recipe I found and tried, I’m going to post some pictures of the yummy food I *helped to* prepare at the Walker family’s house on Sunday.

things i love… holiday edition

This Christmas break, while too short, was filled with things I love. Here are a few of them…

Breakfast… more specifically, having time to eat breakfast. During the semester, hardly a day goes by that I don’t eat at least one meal in the car. Over the break, I loved getting up, brewing coffee, making breakfast, and opening a book. My staple while I was at my parents’ house was Greek yogurt with blueberries, almonds, and honey. Yum!
